What is retargeting?

Online advertising technique that consists of impacting users who have previously interacted with the brand with display ads, either because they have visited your website or opened an email, while browsing other portals. By means of this formula, the aim is to promote the memory of the brand in the user and capture it again to achieve the final conversion. Technically, it requires the use of a pixel tag or other code - which is incorporated into the brand's website - to facilitate a third party the recognition of specific users outside the domain where this activity has been collected. Google uses the term remarketing to define this same technique in its Adwords tool.
