Non-profit entity created in 2003 by the Association for the Self-regulation of Commercial Communication (Autocontrol) and the Spanish Association of the Digital Economy (Adigital) with the aim of increasing the confidence of Internet users when they make purchases online or browse websites.
In practice, it works as a self-regulation system in Spain, which issues a seal, also called Confianza Online, which certifies that the companies that own it have been evaluated and respond to an ethical commitment to good practices on the Internet and Electronic Commerce. Likewise, websites with this certification are submitted to the Confianza Online claims system.
