KPI or Key Performance Indicator (key performance indicator) is a metric that allows you to measure the progress of a previously set objective and quantify its degree of compliance. In digital marketing, KPIs can be, for example, the total number of unique visitors, the average time on page per visit or the conversions on a landing page. It is advisable that the KPIs are SMART, that is, that they comply with the following principles: specific (specific), measureable (measurable), achievable (achievable), relevant (relevant to the business) and time-bound (with a time horizon).
